Here, owners Wim and Irene Blom welcome you in their homely Bed & Breakfast. Montagu, situated at the head of the Klein Karoo on Route 62, Western Cape, South Africa is only a scenic two hours drive from Cape Town. It takes you through breathtakingly beautiful winelands and countryside. You will find us at 6 Bath Street, a few paces from the famous Bird Tree, within walking distance of the centre of town. We have safe off-street parking with controlled access.

A peaceful place which will linger in your mind awaits you at Blommenhuis B&B. Named after its owners and their passion for flowers, it offers three individually-styled bedrooms. Two double en-suite rooms, all with heaters, ceiling fans, clock radios, hairdryers, fluffy white towels, white linen and fresh flowers. One of them has a queen size bed and its own entrance. Double room with double and single bed, and private bathroom with luxury robes, bathtub and shower, overlooking the rose and herbgarden and all the accessories as above. A delicious breakfast is served in the dining room with yellowwood and oak furniture, or on the patio. There is also a hospitality tea and coffee trolly plus a honesty bar fridge.

Guests can enjoy our saltwater pool and the panoramic views of the Langeberg mountains from the wooden deck. We offer braai facilities at the "braaihuis". Alternatively, Wim will give you a real South African braai. Enjoy abundant birdlife, stroll through town on the Historic Homes Route, visit some of the many artists (arts and craft route) or do some winetasting as many award-winning wines comes from this region. Here you can find some of the finest restaurants in the region. Apart from superb dining experiences, Montagu is also the mountain mecca of the Western Cape, where you can go rock climbing, mountain biking, abseiling, kloofing, or simply enjoy this peaceful haven. Montagu has it all. Route 62 is famous for its inspiring rock formations, orchards, vineyards, local herbs and mineral springs. Guests can visit the two museums, Art Galleries, wineries, Kanonkop, the art and craft route or the Boeremark on Saturday mornings with local produce. Blommenhuis is 200m from a bird hideaway and walking distance to the museums and restaurants. Other interests are the Tractor trip up in the Langeberge, National Monuments and many walks and trails.
