Blommenberg Guest House - Accommodation in
Clanwilliam, Western Cape, South Africa
Blommenberg
Guest House is situated in the Golden Valley of the Olifants River -
with the Atlantic Ocean 60km to the west and the Cedarberg directly to
the east. The town is one of the ten oldest in South Africa and rich
in cultural and historical heritage: the restored Dutch Reformed
church where the annual wild flower exhibition is held; the old
drostdy and prison; the Strassberger shoe factory; the Rooibos tea
factory; the Ramskop wild flower reserve and the Kunshuis (art
gallery). Every year Clanwilliam shares in the display of wild flowers
in spring time, when the land becomes one under a mantle of brilliant
colours. It is furthermore part of the "fynbos" area and
home to the Clanwilliam cedar and Snow protea.
