Barnacle
B&B - Accommodation in
Pringle Bay, Western Cape. This is as
close to the beach and the river as you can get. Two very comfortable
self-catering units in an idyllic setting surrounded by beach, river
and fynbos, with views across False Bay to Cape Point.
The
two en-suite self-catering units are simple, cosy and comfortable, in
a country style. The one has a Victorian slipper bath; the other a
solid brass bed. Each has a double bed and a second bed in the living
area; allowing both to sleep three.

Jenny
is a horticultural expert and you will revel in her natural garden. A
few steps down to a narrow path through marsh reeds takes you to a
beach of fine white sand. Discover the estuarine and fynbos birds or
spot otters and baboons; or use the paddle skis and canoes to explore
the coastline and river. An ancient milkwood forest waits to be
explored just across the river.
Pringle
Bay is pure recreational, away from the maddening crowd. At the high
season you can enjoy the uncrowded powder-white beaches
and the azure ocean. A mere 100m from your guesthouse one can
sunbathe, collect mussels and catch your own
crayfish dinner from the rocks. In and around Pringle Bay one can enjoy
hiking, mountain-biking, river-rafting, sailing, sandboarding, diving,
fishing, bird-watching, whale-watching (June to January) and visit the
famous penguin colony at Bettys Bay. Five golf courses are in a radius
of 30 km away.
