8000 acre Private Nature Reserve and its 30 km of walking trails, to
guided Historical Zulu Cultural and Wildlife tours, this makes an ideal

THE
LODGE Accommodation consists of 9 charming luxury en-suite bedrooms. The
elegant Stinkwood dining room with its silver and crystal compliments the
exquisitely presented cuisine. Run and owned by John and Meryn Turner and
their friendly staff, the lodge combines attentive personal service with
luxury and charm. ROCK POOLS BUSH CAMP 9 large tented units, tucked along
the edge of the Nsubeni Stream, fully furnished in an African Colonial
style, with brass and wrought iron twin beds, old oregan furniture and
decorated in shades of stone, navy, hunters green and maroon. Each tent
unit has its own bathroom en suite with fully tiled hot/cold water
shower, flush toilet and pretty wash basin. Electricity to each tent
allows use of a fan and a heater, and a tea/coffee station completes the
picture, offering a wonderful bush experience at a value for money price
that is second to none! Delicious dinners are served in an uncomplicated
and casual buffet style around an open fire or in the large tiled dining
area. Breakfast is a hearty affair with lunch an optional extra.
At
the Lodge guests can walk freely or wander along a self guided trail
on the 8000 acres. Guided day
tours from the lodge can be tailor made to meet individual
requirements. Some of the most popular tours from Lodge are: -Isandlwana
and Rorke's Drift battlefields, which follow the line of advance of the
Zulu, included a visit to Mangeni Waterfalls, to relive this dramatic
defeat and heroic defence. -The emaKhoshini, "Valley of the
Kings", Dingaan's Kraal and KwaMatiwane, his hill of execution,
Ondindi, the KwaZulu Cultural Museum and Ulundi Battlefields. -Umfolozi-Hluhluwe
game Reserve, home to the Big Five and famous for its black and white
rhino. -Prince Imperial Monument, where Louis Napoleon was killed and
the Napoleon dynasty was ended. -Superb birding localities along
scenic routes, which include a visit to the Nkandla Forest.
