Accommodation comprises a luxury guest house overlooking the gorge and 93 two to five sleeper rustic stone chalets. Chalet (sleeps 2) - SCS2 Self-catering chalet, one bedroom and two single beds, lounge with divan, TV, MNet, 3 DSTV channels, fully equipped kitchen with microwave and toaster, bathroom with shower in bath and toilet, private braai area, undercover parking. Sleeps 2 adults 1 child. Chalet (economy, sleeps 4) -TSS4 Self-catering chalet; 2 bedrooms, 2 singles in each room; NO lounge. TV, M-Net, 3 DSTV channels; bathroom with bath shower in bath, separate toilet, fully equipped kitchen, no microwave; private braai area; undercover parking for one car. Sleeps 4 adults. Guest House (sleeps 6) - DGD6 Self-catering – 3 x bedrooms with 2 single beds in each room. Each bedroom with its own bathroom, guest toilet, lounges with TV. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave oven, fridge, garage for three cars, private braai and veranda. Dinning room can be used as a boardroom.

Wildlife in the canyon area is as varied as the habitats. There are mountain reedbuck on the escarpment, dassies on the canyon walls, hippo and crocodile in the Blyde Dam, and impala, kudu, blue wildebeest, waterbuck and zebra on the Lowveld plain near the canyon's mouth. There are many walks and hikes at Blydepoort, both within the Resort and in the area. There is a horse trail which you can book through reception and a full day guided hike down the Canyon which is spectacular.
