Aqua Sands is glamorous. Deborah, in red lipstick and a white linen dress, is glamorous.  She is a food stylist and husband Richard is a philatelist (a stamp dealer – but glamorous too!). And their open-plan contemporary home is a repository for an ever-changing, rotating collection of fine art. The guest rooms, with their own separate entrances, are blessed with crushed velvet or silk bedspreads, percale cottons and mohair blankets, red gerberas in fish-bowls and cactus-style soap dishes, an echo of the real cactus garden out there next to the tranquil koi fish pond.

Breakfast is served on the architecturally spectacular grey-slate-tiled patio under steel and wood, offset with vibrant splashes of pink, purple and cobalt paint blocks. This is surrounded by a lush garden where palm trees intermingle with indigenous plants and giant aloes… and beyond is the ocean, with safe bathing and sandy beaches a mere two minutes’ walk away. If that’s too far there’s always the large heated saline pool, sauna and steam room within flopping distance of the breakfast table. You may meet grandpa too – another asset of the house – a champion fly-fisherman with photos to prove it. Come here for a holiday and not just a stopover!

There is plenty to do in the area too like, Golfing; World-renowned Hummerwood links is less than 1 Km from Aqua Sands.
Enjoy easy walks along the Sacramento Trail.

Hobie Beach ; Port Elizabeth is aMecca for windsurfing and kitesurfing.
