Annie`
s Cottage is a beautiful old Manor House in Springbok,
Namaqualand,
at the foot of a rugged "koppie" where the first commercial
mine in South
Africa was started in 1852. Our bed & breakfast/guesthouse is
a 4 star accredited pension and a Finalist in the 2005 AA Accommodation
awards & AA Quality Assured Superior. We offer excellent accommodation
and hospitality, something the Afrikaner people are well known for.
We would love to accommodate you in one of our 11 luxury en suite rooms.
Safe parking. A cooked English breakfast, variety of cereals, fruits
in season and bottomless coffee and juice are included. Cappuccino and
espresso are available. We also cater for Continental breakfasts or
vegetarians on request.

All
rooms have private entrances onto the veranda, into the garden or
their own private patio to ensure that our guests enjoy their stay
here. Every room is decorated in a unique style to give it its own
personal touch, with Percale cotton bedding & feather down duvets
& pillows, so you can rest assured sleep in luxury! All rooms are
en-suite with either bath or shower or both, with crisp white towels
and matching his/her robes and hair dryers. Rooms are equipped with
internet-connections, television with selected DSTV channels &
M-Net as well as a fully stocked bar-fridge for your enjoyment and
comfort as well as tea and coffee-facilities.
When
the old house was restored to its former colonial glory, ambiance and
atmosphere was never forgotten & when modern comfort was added to its
portfolio of assets the old world charm prevailed. Rest and enjoy our
beautiful cool garden and swimming pool. Restaurants are only 500 m
walking distance. Just behind is the first open pit copper mine in the
area. It is a pleasant walk. There is also a museum and a Jewish
synogogue and quiver tree nursery. 4x4 route, horse riding, hiking,
nature reserve and bird watching nearby.
