Four
luxury and one deluxe thatched lodge, all with superb en-suite bath and
shower facilities, open fireplace and private patio, will ensure that
your stay is well worthwhile and memorable. Those with an eye for decor
and design will truly appreciate the originality of our bathroom suites.
Beautifully crafted washbasins on wooden pedastals are magnificantly
illuminated through eyecatching lampshades and will further personify
your "african" experience.
Soak
up the African sun in between refreshing dips in the swimming pool and
just enjoy the breathtaking views. Relax at the boma during the day or
enjoy a meal of exquisite food and wine, under a truly magnificent
African sky. The aim is to recreate a bygone era, where wild animals
will once again roam freely. Two years ago a programme was started to
reintroduce antelope to the reserve. An informative game drive will
give you the opportunity to experience the game at a closer range. For
the bird enthusiast, Amathunzi offers a chance to observe many
varieties of bird life - from the endangered Black Eagle to the lesser
doubled collared Sunbird. A guide will take you on an early morning
walk where you will discover the true beauty of the reserve. If you
can find spare time, take a drive into the Breede river valley and
visit one of the many attractions the area has to offer.
