that bear testimony with the renowned Mkuze River. Boasting 10 000 hectares,
the Amazulu Private Game Reserve is made up of a varied ecosystem. This
diversity includes savannah, mountains and wetlands which makes it the
ideal home to the "Big Five" as well as giraffe, warthog and
hyena not to mention over 15 different antelope species, hippopotamus
and crocodile. The wetlands offers no less than 400 bird species, a
place of paradise and comfort. AmaKhosi is a special place ... a place
where mystery becomes reality and no two days are the same!

At
the heart of AmaKhosi Lodge is the most luxurious blend of river
frontage. Riverbanks are home to the main lodge with the magnificent
regal River Suites offering special views of the flowing Mkuze River.
Each
suite boasts separate air-conditioned bedroom and lounge with fully
stocked mini bar and tea/coffee facilities. Guests can slip into an
African dreamland with high thatched ceilings and glass walls reaching
for the open African sky. The en-suite bathroom with a unique bath made
for two is decorated with an array of candles and bath salts allowing
decadence to take on a whole new meaning and bringing tranquillity and
serenity to your beautiful suite ... fit for a king
Early
morning and late afternoon guided walks and game drives lead you into the
African bush to observe the animals and their fascinating behaviour. The
abundance of flora and fauna always reveal something interesting, both on
the ground and in the air. Qualified game rangers introduce the unique
role each animal plays on the massive stage within the African Kingdom.
For those who prefer to relax at camp, there is a library,
swimming pool, game viewing deck and an outdoor lounge overlooking the
flowing Mkuze River.
Recently completed is the added feature of a traditional Zulu Kraal, proudly built by
AmaKhosi staff along with the help from the local Zulu community. Guests at the lodge are
now able to enjoy a cosy evening away from the main lodge around an African bonfire,
followed by traditional South African braai under the stars.
