Altes Landhaus offers a choice of seven spacious suites, two deluxe suites and one charming double room. All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms and a range of modern conveniences, including TV, air conditioning (heating and cooling), ceiling fans, safes and telephone. In addition, bedroom suites offer a comfortable, private sitting room, bathroom heaters, towel heaters and hair dryers.

The homestead’s magnificent gardens are evidence of a climate which boasts 360 sunshine days a year: an abundance of red and white rose blooms, soft lilac Jacaranda blossoms and old, shady trees frame a plush expanse of well-tended lawns. Summer hues, fragrant scents and the dry, hot Karoo air provide an intoxicating backdrop for the clear turquoise waters of our salt-water swimming pool, tucked away in a tranquil corner of the homestead’s garden, and featuring a friendly pool bar. Leisurely walks around the scenic grounds of Altes Landhaus provide many an opportunity to admire the indigenous bird life, or the farm’s own ostriches. The idyllic charms of the Garden Route – sandy beaches, leafy forests, golfing greens and scenic mountain passes – provide a diverse choice of exciting day outings. A relaxing day concludes with sunset drinks on the African patio, as dusk folds its colourful wings around another varied and enjoyable day.
