is a 4300 acre sheep farm situated on the N9 main road from Johannesburg
and Durban to
the Garden
Route, Plettenberg
Bay, Knysna
and Cape Town.
The beautiful valleys with their towering rock formations, where the
Black Eagles, caracal and klipspringer live, are also home to the majestic
kudu, mountain reedbuck and the rare grey rhebuck.
Just 3 kms off the N9 , up a good gravel road through the grazing
springbuck and steenbuck, is the carefully restored homestead (circa
1827), set in beautiful gardens with rolling green, manicured lawns.

and Gordon are there to meet you and show you into your accommodation,
where you can relax in privacy after a day travelling or sightseeing.
Enjoy warm hospitality, the fresh karoo
air and amazing night skies.
The cottage with its private lapa and beautiful views, has two
bedrooms with two bathrooms and a private lounge/diningroom. The
suite, shaded by an enormous Pepper tree, has a private
lounge/diningroom , full bathroom en suite off a large bedroom with
twin beds, from where you may watch kudu grazing on the hillside! All
the bedrooms have crisp white cotton linen , white fluffy towels,
ceiling fans and wall heaters to ensure your comfort in any weather.
There is ample hot water to fill the large ball-and-claw
bathtubs where one can truly relax, or enjoy a refreshing shower.
The rooms are furnished with restored antique Cape cottage furniture,
gleaming brass light switches, mohair carpets and original paintings.
Abbotsbury is part of the Game
