Description

Tintswalo at Waterfall is a destination with a spectacular 360˚ degree view and is designed as a typical barn, with thick stone clad walls, double volume spaces and heavy bolted timber roof trusses. The 16 luxury rooms look out over the pristine polo fields, the estate dam and have superb views of the distant Magaliesberg Mountains and surrounding countryside.

The Feedroom restaurant within the hotel is our group executive chef’s signature kitchen. Outside seating and a well stocked below ground wine cellar provide alternate unique dining and social experiences.

The sound of croaking frogs, mellowed by a selection of birdcalls, are both soothing and indicative of country life. Add the lush green fields , and you have the illusion of an open countryside, even though the city’s suburbs are not far away.

Tintswalo at Waterfall is designed to emulate a barn, with thick stone-clad walls, double volume spaces and heavy bolted timber roof trusses. The simplicity of this design is offset by beautifully appointed rooms, earth tones, dark rough cut wood, steel and textured fabrics, juxtaposed with marble flooring and a centre walkway, paved with bricks.

Each of the 16 luxury suites are named after a famous horse breed, and are individually themed and decorated to the colours and characteristics of specific horse breeds. The en-suite rooms are spacious with views of either the dam or polo fields, leading onto a small balcony.

The Feedroom restaurant within the hotel is our group executive chef’s signature kitchen. Great pride is taken in serving only the best and freshest food to our guests.  Our desire is to meet all expectations of taste with an explosion of intriguing flavours.   Food style is modern yet contemporary with world wide influences.  Frequent menu changes ensure our well balanced menus have the element of surprise, always offering a choice of starters, main course and desserts.

Of particular note is the delectable breakfast overlooking the polo field. Fresh fruit smoothies,  slithered salmon, chef-made muesli paired with seasonal fruit and yoghurt is followed by an English breakfast (choice of bacon and egg or selection of mouth watering omelettes). Freshly baked miniature pastries served with a sumptuous homemade jam and with a plunger of robust filter coffee or a refreshing pot of tea make the breakfast an indulgence not to be missed.

Dinner in the restaurant focuses on quality. Unpretentious, fresh and tasty three course meals can be paired with superb wines and rounded off with a fine selection of cognacs, whiskeys and cigars.

Outside seating and a well stocked below ground wine cellar provide alternate unique dining and social experiences.
