The Fritz Hotel is a small city hotel / guesthouse, officially graded 3-star hotel, within easy walking distance of the Cape Town city center, Parliament and Green Market Square. Located in a quiet, secure residential area, it combines in its own special fashion high-tech installations with an Art Deco feeling and Victorian charm.

Business people will be pleased to find that they can get connected to the Internet in their rooms and watch the news on satellite-TV with BBC World or ARD. Those travelers who like to get away from the standardized atmosphere of the usual city hotel will feel comfortable with the mixture of original Art Deco furniture, Fifties and modern pieces especially designed for The Fritz Hotel. Accommodation

There are 13 bedrooms, all en-suite, with TV, mini-bar, mini-safe, radio, hairdryer. The Standard rooms are located on the ground floor as well as the Garden rooms which offer a small private garden. The Balcony rooms are on the first floor and have a small enclosed balcony with beautiful views on Table Mountain. The Deluxe rooms are our biggest rooms with a king size bed and a large open terrace with nice views on Lions Head and Signal Hill. Some bedrooms have twin beds, some have a double bed or a king size bed.

The interior design combines Art Deco, Fifties and modern pieces especially designed for The Fritz Hotel in its own special fashion and appeals to the international traveller who wishes to escape the standardized atmosphere of the usual hotel. The main building was built in the 1860’s in Edwardian architecture; the wings and the first floor were added in the beginning of the last century. The original Oregon pine floors still feature predominantly and give the rooms their appearance of warmth and cleanliness.

The technical installations are of the highest level offering wireless internet free of charge in all the rooms, satellite-TV with BBC World, Supersport, M-Net, etc, but also the German channels ARD and ZDF, and direct-in-dialling digital telephones.

We proud ourselves of going the extra mile for our guests and are especially oriented towards personalized service, giving detailed information about what to do in Cape Town with a strong emphasise on good restaurants and good wines, but also on the more unusual like hiking up Lion’s Head for the full moon party or spending an afternoon on Sandy Bay.

Off-street parking is available free of charge. Street parking is also available at night, since Faure Street is a quiet residential street without much outside traffic.

The Fritz Hotel is accredited with the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and is a member of Cape Town Tourism.

Directions

When driving from the airport, take the N2 towards Cape Town Drive for about 15 km When the N2 forks shortly before Cape Town, go left onto the M3 (De Waal Drive) towards Cape Town South Drive for another few kilometers into town and turn left before a bridge, still on the M3, towards Camps Bay Continue into Orange Street, pass the impressive entrance to the Mount Nelson Hotel on your left side and turn left at the next traffic lights into Rheede Street, turn left into Kloof Street, turn left into Wilkinson Street, turn left into Faure Street which is a one way street where you will find The Fritz Hotel at the bottom on your right hand side.
