DirectionsDirections The mountain village of Hogsback is about an hour and a half?s drive from Grahamstown. The best route to our hotel from Port Elizabeth is to take the N2 to Grahamstown. Bypass Grahamstown, and travel about 5 kms. Pick up the (R67) to the left and go to Fort Beaufort. Please take care on the road between Grahamstown and Fort Beaufort. The Ecca Pass is a winding route, but the road is in good shape. Go through Fort Beaufort and head east to Alice. From Alice continue east towards King Williams Town. After Fort Hare University, you will see a road sign on the left that reads - Cathcart via Hogsback - the R345. This is the main road through the village and our hotel is situated on the left exactly 30 kms from the turn-off. It is well sign posted. The last 3 kms is a gravel road with lots of bumps. Slow down! Relax! and enjoy the scenery!
