Donnybrook Guesthouse is a privately owned guesthouse situated in the lovely country environment of Glenferness. Converted from the original farm building of the Donnybrook estate, the guesthouse offers you a warm and homely stay in an attractive house surrounded by a beautiful garden.

Dieneke and Charlotte extend a warm welcome to their guests and offer homely and individually designed accommodation. Donnybrook Guesthouse is an ideal 'stopover' for the business or leisure traveller.

Accommodation

We offer a choice of tastefully decorated, comfortable bedrooms with en-suite, private or shared bathroom facilities, thus, allowing something to suit all pockets. Each room, with its individual charm and character, leads onto a spacious TV lounge area, which is comfortably furnished and ideal for small business meetings. A large fully equipped kitchen can be used by those who prefer self-catering.

3 apartments under 1 roof are situated in the middle of the property between the paddocks.

Apartment 1

has a queen size bed, a small kitchen and bathroom with shower. It has a little verandah and a beautiful view of the sunset in the late afternoon.

Apartment 2

has 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a large kitchen, lounge andÂ dining room.It has a verandah with a braai, with a view of the sunset in the afternoon.

Apartment 3

has a double bed, a small kitchen and a bathroom with shower. All apartments have their own TV.

Facilities

FACILITIES

Guests are welcome to use all the facilities that Donnybrook Guesthouse offers. An expansive patio with a view of green fields and riding stables is the perfect place to enjoy our home cooked breakfasts. A large outdoor entertainment area and braai offers an opportunity to relax on deck chairs next to the swimming pool, or for the more energetic, enjoy a game of tennis on our well-kept court. These are surrounded by an established, well-maintained garden with an abundance of bird life.

Horse riders will enjoy having access to our riding stables with the wonderful opportunity to go on out rides in lovely open country. And for those who take pleasure in a round of golf there are many beautiful golfing establishments nearby. Excellent security and safe parking for your vehicles.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast is served daily between 7.00 - 9.30. The expansive patio with a view of green fields and riding stables is the perfect place to enjoy our home cooked breakfasts. Our delicious home-cooked breakfast includes: Fruit Juice, Tea and coffee, toast, jam, cereals and yoghurt. Choice of eggs: scrambled, boiled, fried with bacon.

Directions

1. From JHB International Airport follow the exit lane in the airport always keeping to the right. This will lead you on to the R24 going towards Johannesburg. Continue on this road for approx 7 kms. When you come to the large right hand sweeping bend, you are going over the N12, which you join into. Stay in 2nd or 3rd lane and you will shortly see the signs for N3 to Durban and N3/N1 to Pretoria Follow the Pretoria sign. As you come off the N12 you keep right at the Y fork and then go immediately into left lane to join the N1/N3. Stay on this until junction 104 and then follow the next set of directions. It is 40kms in total from the airport and should take about 25 minutes in reasonable traffic. Using the N3 from Durban or M1 from Johannesburg South, take N1 South towards Roodepoort at junction 104 and then come off at the next exit, which is Rivonia Road (exit 100). At end of off-ramp turn right under the motorway and then 1st left into Witkoppen Road, the R564 to Fourways. At 3rd robots turn right into Main Road towards Kyalami. There will be a Spanish/Italian restaurant and fruit & veg store on your right. Go through 1st robots at Lone Hill, down the hill, over the river and up the other side. Chattan Road is first on left just before the top of the hill on the bend. Follow the sign for Helderfontein Centre. Look for the Donnybrook sign on the right hand side about 1km down the road
2. Using N1 from Roodepoort, exit N1 at William Nicol turning left into William Nicol. Take right turn by garden centre in to Montecasino Boulevaard. Follow road round past each roundabout until you pass the casino and come to the robots. Turn right at robots in to Witkoppen Road. At second robots turn left in to Main Road towards Kyalami. At these robots there will be a Spanish/Italian restaurant and fruit & veg store opposite. Follow instructions as above.
3. From Pretoria come off the N1 at New Road exit and turn right. Follow along New Road for about 5 kms going straight over at each crossroads you come to. You will pass a garden centre and garage, both on your right just before you reach the robots at the crossroads by Crowthorne shopping centre. Turn left into the R55 and at first robots right into Main Road (M71). 4kms along just pass Leuwkop Prison you will see the sign for Helderfontein Centre. Follow the sign turning right into Chattan Road. Look for the Donnybrook sign on the right hand side about 1km down the road. Or Come off at Allendale exit turning right into Allendale Road (M39). About 5 kms along will be the T-junction and robots opposite Kyalami racetrack entrance. Turn right onto the R55 and at 2nd robots left into Main Road. Follow instructions as above. 4. From Gallagher Estate turn right and get onto Old Pretoria Rd. Turn left towards Crowthorne and the M1 onto New Rd. Follow instructions as for #3 coming from Pretoria.
