Cheerio Trout Fishing Lodge offers Self-catering accommodation in 2, 4 and 6 sleeper chalets or bed & breakfast in three two-bedroomed rondavels in the beautiful Cheerio Valley. Trout fishing is offered in three dams on the property. Cheerio Trout Fishing Lodge is situated in the beautiful Cheerio valley, home of the annual Magoebaskloof Spring cherry blossom and azaelea show. It is surrounded by the Wolkberg mountains and pine and indigenous forests. It lies between Pietersburg and Tzaneen and is an excellent stop over to the Kruger National Park and other private game parks.

In the heart of the Cheerio Valley where the annual Cherry blossom and azalea Spring Fare is held. 3 trout dams on property. Chalets serviced daily except Christmas and Easter Sunday.

Directions

From Johannesburg, take the N1 to Pietersburg (3.5 hours at speed limits) and then R71 to Tzaneen. Village of Haenertsburg is approximately 60 kms. from Pietersburg and turn off the R71 to Cheerio is clearly marked 3kms. out of the village. There is also an airport at Pietersburg with hire car facilities.

Rates vary per chalet and season but on average, a self catering chalet works out between R125 and R150 per person per night, depending on chalet configuration and season
