
DescriptionThe original section of this comfortable, charming home was built in 1906. The African thatch provides a cool haven in summer and in winter the oil heaters in each room, under floor heating in the main entertainment areas and the open fireplace make it cozy and warm.It is surrounded by magnificent trees some 100 years old. The garden has numerous areas where guests can relax and its unique beauty remain even during winter season. The patio surrounding the pool is a great entertainment area where small children can safely play in the water, of course under supervision. You can follow our babbling stream through eighty acres of natural fauna and flora getting a real feel of the bush, watching the birds and the bees enjoying the flowers in our beautiful garden! Bed & Breakfast AccommodationAccommodation options include a choice of either one of the four guest rooms all built with three windows over looking the gardens. Three of these are bathroom en-suite and the fourth room has a private bathroom at the foot of the stairs. We supply a coffee / tea tray in each room. All the beds have electric blankets in winter. The menu consists of traditional and health-conscious breakfasts with Mara's wonderful homemade jams and chutneys not to mention the farm butter!FacilitiesFacilitiesWe share our home with our guests. We have a communal TV room where Mara has a marvelous collection of books, magazines and games. Some of the magazines are from way back; the 1950's! Other facilities include laundry on request, satellite television in each room and secure parking. Picnic baskets or light lunches can be arranged. We pride ourselves on the service we offer and make sure that guests will feel absolutely at home.
