DescriptionHeia Safari Ranch is a three star hotel and Conference centre, nestled below the Swartkop Mountain Range next to the Cradle of Humankind only thirty minutes away from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The charming Lodge is situated on a game farm that is set in the tranquil indigenous South African Bushveld. The attractive Hotel complex and Conference Centre consists of thatched stone buildings that are surrounded by beautifully landscaped lawns. The Heia Safari Ranch restaurant is a picturesque venue for superb dining with windows that overlook the swimming pool and Lake Heritage. Our zebras use the swimming pool as their watering hole to the delight of the restaurant guests. Lake Heritage, which is contained by one the largest hand built stone dams in South Africa, is a great place for bird watching, fishing, open water swimming and canoeing. Giraffe, zebra, Wildebeest, Blesbok, Impala and Springbok roam the hotel grounds freely along with our "Zonky" (Zebra+Donkey cross breed) and four black Springbok. Capture the spirit of Africa only 45 minutes from Johannesburg or Pretoria. The 3 star Heia Safari Ranch lies in the African bushveld, surrounded by arts and crafts exhibitions and the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage site. Giraffe and Zebra roam freely around the hotel property. The pool area is visited by Zebra drinking water from the pool.Accommodation The Heia Safari Ranch is one of the most popular attractions in Gauteng - only a 30 minute drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. In the tranquil African bushveld we offer a truly one of a kind experience. Zebra and Giraffe roam freely around the hotel grounds. For a good night's sleep enjoy the comfort of one of our 50 two bed-roomed thatched bungalows; all with en-suite bathroom and a lovely verandah. The bungalows are fitted with Satellite T.V., M-NET, radio, telephone and a coffee/tea machine. Enjoy a sundowner whilst watching Zebras and our family of Giraffes which roam around the hotel area. Spending a weekend is the perfect escape from the tension and the concrete jungles of Johannesburg and Pretoria. Our 49 spacious two bed-roomed thatched bungalows are all with en-suite bathroom, TV, Radio, Telephone, coffee/tea making facilities and a lovely veranda, where you can enjoy a sundowner! Break away from the day to day routine and relax in the tranquillity of the Ranch. Room service is available from 07h00 am to 09h00 pm.Restaurant The cosy thatched restaurant is perfect for a rural wedding or private function for up to 100 guests. We offer a variety of menus. Weather permitting you can be seated at the pool area if you so wish. The tables will be set up according to your seating plan, with all linen, cutlery and crockery provided. DININGSunday BBQ and Tribal Dances:Every Sunday at 12h30 we serve a South African Barbecue around the pool area followed by the famous Mzumba Tribal Dancers at 14h00 - 16h15. Visitors can see and hear the old-age tribal legends to the accompaniment of throbbing drums and chanting women. The A' La Carte Restaurant: The Restaurant is an excellent venue for rural African weddings or private functions for up to 100 guests. 2 additional private function rooms for smaller functions are available. You are now on the N3 which, eventually becomes the N1 – Stay on the direction Roodepoort. Various off ramps that you will pass: Modderfontein / Edenvale Marlbororo Johannesburg / Pretoria Rivonia William Nicol Hans Strydom – changed to – New Name- Malibongwe Drive Next off ramp to take – Beyers Naude – Turn right over concrete highway keep straight for approximately 23 km until you see Heia Safari Ranch on your left hand side. From Johannesburg Follow the Beyers Naude over the four way robot at Honeydew there proceed along the road for approx. 16km until you see the HSR sing on your left hand side. From Pretoria Proceed along the N14 towards Krugersdorp take the Randburg/Swartkops off ramp M5 and turn right at the yield sign, keep straight for approx. 5.5km until you see the HSR sign on your left hand side. From Sandton Proceed on the N1 towards Roodepoort take the Beyers Naude turn off and turn right on to Beyers Naude keep straight for approx. 21km until you see the HSR sign on your left hand side. From Krugersdorp Proceed along the N14 towards Pretoria take the Randburg/Swartkops off ramp M5 and turn left and proceed straight for approx. 5.5km until you see the HSR sign on your left hand side. From Fourways Proceed on the concrete highway towards Roodepoort take the Beyers Naude turn and turn right onto Beyers Naude, pass Honeydew and carry on for 16km until you see the HSR sign on your left hand side. From the South Proceed towards Pretoria take the Beyers Naude off ramp and turn to your left and proceed until you see the HSR sign on your left hand side. From the West Proceed towards Roodepoort on the concrete highway turn right on the Beyers Naude and carry on straight until you see the HSR on your left hand side.Rates
