There are things you won't find at 164, like a kettle and sachets of plastic coffee, instead we prefer to freshly make your tea and coffee to order and bring it to you on request. This and things like it are what makes 164 special.

The main beaches are only 20 minutes away, while Durban centre is only a short drive down the hill as is Greyville Racecourse, the main sporting arenas and the International Conference Centre. If required our own shuttle bus can provide transport to and from these facilities. Liners Bar. Decorated with photos, paintings and memorabilia of the great Ocean Liners of the past and present with a classic contemporary theme, Liners is the place to unwind and enjoy a traditional cocktail, ice cold beer, a glass of fabulous South African wine or even a light meal or snack. Open until late, Liners is only available to residents or invited guests. Trouser press and full laundry service is available. Guests are welcome to use our large swimming pool, pool towels are available in your room.
